Varanasi News Updates: Prayagraj: Questions arose again on the will of Mahant Narendra Giri, told to make Balvir Giri the successor, against the rules

The voices of protest have started rising again in the arena before the coronation of Deputy Mahant Balvir Giri. Many saints have advised to choose a saint according to the rules to run the monastery, calling Balveer’s successor as completely wrong. The saints have considered the alleged letter written by Mahant Narendra Giri before Brahmalin as mere suicide note, have refused to accept it as a will.

Said that the signature of two members of the Akhara is recorded as witnesses on the will, but there is no such witness in the letter of Narendra Giri. Those whom an attempt has been made to present as a witness, they have nothing to do with akhara and sannyasa life.

When the CBI investigation is going on in the case and questions are being raised on the alleged suicide note, then why are the things written in the suicide note being followed. Most of the saints have termed the suicide note as fake. Even Balveer Giri, who has been asked to make the successor, has also said that the suicide note was written by Maharajji or who has written it, it is a matter of investigation.

In the past two wills have been revoked. In a will, it was said that yoga guru Anand Giri should be made a mahant, but it was canceled after controversy.

The tradition of the arena was not followed in the will of Balveer.
The will of Baghambri Gaddi in the name of Deputy Mahant Balveer Giri, who is handling the responsibility of Wilkeshwar temple, is being told contrary to the rules of Niranjani Akhara. According to the tradition of Niranjani Akhara, the Mahant has been choosing his successor through a will in the Baghambari Math. But, such a will is valid only when the monks or office bearers of the arena have been made witnesses thereof. In the will made by Mahant Narendra Giri in the name of Balveer Giri on June 4, 2020, no witness of the arena has been included. Rather, Man Singh and Ravindra Kumar Upadhyay have been made Gawal in this will. In such a situation, questions have been raised on this will.

Balveer’s name was written twice in the will

Mahant Narendra Giri had mentioned Balveer Giri twice in his will. He made three wills for his successor. For the first time in 2010, in the will of succession, the disciple Balvir Giri was made his successor. But due to Balvir Giri being busy in Haridwar itself, when he got the will prepared for the second time on 29 August 2011, he declared his disciple Swami Anand Giri as his successor.

But, as the distance from Anand Giri started increasing, Mahant Narendra Giri got the third will prepared on June 4, 2020, canceling both his earlier wills. In this third registered will, he once again declared Balveer Giri as the successor of Matha Baghmbri. After this dispute the meeting of Panch Parmeshwar was also postponed.
Took initiation of Sannyas in the year 2005
Niranjani’s Deputy Mahant Balbir Puri took initiation in the year 2005. Earlier he was given the responsibility of looking after the Wilkeshwar temple in Haridwar. Meanwhile, in the Kumbh-2019, Mahant Narendra Giri called Balveer Giri from the Bilkeshwar temple in Haridwar to Baghmbri, the monastery of Prayagraj. He had been living with Mahant Narendra Giri in the Mutt Baghambari Gaddi for the last three years.

The voices of protest have started rising again in the arena before the coronation of Deputy Mahant Balvir Giri. Many saints have advised to choose a saint according to the rules to run the monastery, calling Balveer’s successor as completely wrong. The saints have considered the alleged letter written by Mahant Narendra Giri before Brahmalin as a mere suicide note, categorically refused to accept it as a will.

Said that the signature of two members of the Akhara is recorded as witnesses on the will, but there is no such witness in the letter of Narendra Giri. Those whom an attempt has been made to present as a witness, they have nothing to do with akhara and sannyasa life.
